New Glinda, Same Girl

The former Glinda who made her career as Cinderella in her high school play, Kristin Chenoweth discusses her life on and off stage in her new autobiography “A Little Bit Wicked Life, Love, and Faith in Stages.” The short star, who only reaches 4′11″, talks about her adoption, fighting depression and her Oklahoma beauty pageant. She sends messages to all her younger fans letting them know that not everyone is perfect and everyone has there up and down days, no matter how happy they typically seem. The interview, which aired on Web Pix, also talked about her future, which not only included promotion of her book but a new sitcom she just finished filming the pilot for NBC, called “Legally Mad,” and an animated series for Fox, “Sit Down, Shut Up,” which she says is created by the men of “Arrested Development.” The constantly bubbly star made the Wicked tickets shoot to the top of everyone’s “to see” list when she first starred in the show as the lovable but sometimes disagreeable princess Glinda, and now that role has continued to change young girls, and an even larger demographic, lives too.
