Patty Duke charmed television fans in the ‘60 in The Patty Duke Show, which aired from 1963 to 1966. In the show she played two cousins who look identical and live under the same roof. Her first big award was for her performance of Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker, a performance that won her the Oscar Award for Best Supporting Actress. Since then she has appeared in numerous roles on stage, television and film. Now, she is going to be taking a very different part, appearing as Madame Morrible in the hit musical Wicked, appearing on the stage in San Francisco.
Duke’s first appearence in the role will be tomorrow evening, when she takes to the stage.
