Kevin Kern Returns to Wicked

Kevin Kern will be joining the cast of Wicked at the Gershwin Theater on broadway, starting tonight. He will be succeeding Aaron Tveit, who has previously appeared in the role. He willl be joining a cast that includes Nicole Parker as Elphaba, Alli Mauzey as Glinda, JayneHoudyshell as Madame Morrible, P.J. Benjamine as The Wizard, Cristy Candler as Nessarose, and Alex Brightman as Boq. Kern has previously been seen on stage in The Wedding Singer, Les Miserables, and Finians Rainbow to name a few. Kern previously took over the role of Fiyero for Tveit last November, for a short period of time.

Wicked tickets continue to sell well as the musical continues to be one of the most popular events for people to attend, right next to Britney Spears, Leonard Cohen and Elton John & Billy Joel. The musical has proved itself ot have incredible staying power, despite our current crisis  and offers comfort and enjoyment for many. It has also been an inspiration, sporting a one-of-a-kind heroine who flies in the face of society to challenge dysfunctions in society. The musical has become a byword in contemporary culture, earning itself status as one of the greatest objects of interest in todays quickly changing world.
