Wicked in Appleton

Wicked, the Musical is on tour and is getting ready to move on to Appleton, Wisconsin, next week. The musical is greatly anticipated by theater-goers in the region, who have already been buying tickets to see the musical live on stage. The musical comes to Appleton after a successful four week run in Louisville, Kentucky, which opened on January 7, and closes this coming Sunday. In Appleton the musical will be showing at the Fox Cities PAC. The beginning shows are mostly sold out so if you want to get Wicked tickets for one of these early shows, be sure to look here at StubHub.com as early as possible.

 Wicked stars Donna Vivino in the role of Elphaba, a young girl who stands out because of her green skin and strong principles, and her friend Glinda who is everything that Elphaba is not. At first the girls lock horns, but later they learn to appreciate each other and an unlikely friendship emerges. But eventually blonde and beautiful Glinda, who changes her name to Galinda part way through the musical, and strong willed Elphaba must part ways. This is the story of how the Wicked Witch of the West becomes the woman that we all remember from the timeless classic, the movie The Wizard of Oz.
