Wicked’s Aaron Tveit and Adam Lamber

Aaron Tveit is returning to Wicked in the role of Fiyero, a role he first appeared as in June 2008. Tveit most recently appeared in Next to Normal at the Arena Stage in Washington, D.C. He will be joining the cast of Wicked on Broadway, where he will be joining a cast that includes nicole Parker as Elphaba, Ali Mauzey as Glinda, Jayne Houdyshell as Madame Morrible, PJ Benjamin as The Wizard, Alex Brightma as Boq, Brynn O’Malley as Nessarose, and Timothy Britten Parker as Dr. Dillamond.

In other Wicked related news, Adam Lambert, who was part of the LA cast, just auditioned for American Idol in San Francisco. The actor/singer has also played a role onstage in The Ten Commandments in 2006, playing the part of Joshua.

Wicked has become one of the biggest, and growing, sensations on Broadway since it first opened in 2003. The musical is also one of the few that has not been affected by a major loss in tickets sales since the beginning of the economic downturn.
