The Show has Closed in LA

Wicked has definitely left its mark on the city of LA, entering the record books as one of the most successful musicals in LA History. This growing phenomenon is returning to San Francisco, where it will be opening shows on the 27th of this month. In its closing week, when many shows are beginning to slow down, LA’s Wicked saw an impressive $2,291,511.50 in sales. This is incredible in theater sales, but is even impressive for this lucrative show that averaged a gross of $1,450,000 in ticket sales a week. From those of us in Southern California, farewell and goodbye for now.

But while we here in the south of the Golden State are saying a fond “farewell” San Francisco and Northern California are getting ready for a rousing welcome. January 27th is a night that is much anticipated in the home of the Golden Gate Bridge, and citizens and nearby residents are looking forward to their chance to pay their respects to the musical with enthusiastic anticipation.
