Some Unsung Wicked Heroes

Wicked wins more than its fair share of the good awards every year. It’s won three different Tony Awards, a Grammy, Drama Desk Awards, you name it. But here are a few different awards that we though flew (on their brooms, of course) a little too far under the radar:

  • WhatsOnStage.com awarded Kerry Ellis the Best Takeover in a Role Award
  • Eugene Lee was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award for the Best Set Design
  • Braodway.com awarded Eden Espinosa the Favorite Female Replacement award in 2007
  • Stephanie J. Brock won the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Lead Actress, Non-Resident Production
  • Susan HIlferty won Outstanding Costume Design at the Eddy Awards in 2004.
