Wicked’s Idina Menzel

One of the greatest success stories to come from Wicked is that of musician and actress Idina Menzel. Although a number of artists who have starred in the musical have gained wider recognition through their performances, none of them have quite reached the fame of Idina Menzel. Since her appearance as Elphaba, and particularly her fantastic performance of the song “Defying Gravity” Menzel has been gaining more and more publicity as an artist and as an actress.

Most recently, Menzel has been enjoying touring, and been a part of the campaign for President-elect Barak Obama - performing during the Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado. She enjoys touring with her musicians and meeting fans, and there is no doubt that her fan base is growing rapidly.
