Roscioli Gets Green Again

In its last few months on stage, the Chicago production of Wicked welcomes back Dee Roscioli. She will be playing the starring role of Wicked, which she played in earlier in the musical’s Chicago run. Roscioli is set to stay with the musical until its wraps up its run on January 25, 2008. She is no stranger to top musicals as she was in the national tour of Cats as Grizabella. She is coming to a cast of Wicked that consists of Annaleigh Ashford as Glinda, Kristoffer Cusick as Fiyero, Rondi Reed as Madame Morrible, Gene Weygandt as The Wizard, K. Todd Freeman as Doctor Dillamond, Heidi Kettenring as Nessarose and Stanton Nash as Boq.

Those in Chicago will surely miss having this hit musical in their city. Wicked explains what happened in Oz before Dorothy came. Elphaba will later become the Wicked Witch of the West, but the audience learns that she is not inherently evil.
