Atlanta Gets Ready for Wicked

Many cities around the country that do not have a resident show of Wicked wait anxiously for it to come to their city, and the wait is almost over for the residents of Atlanta. Tickets will begin to go on sale Saturday for the show which will be in town between October 8 and November 2.  Wicked sold out in a mere two weeks the last time it came to Atlanta. The show will be at the Fox Theatre.

It is safe to guess that those who see Wicked when it comes to Atlanta will love it as the countless people who have raved about this show. The story of Wicked takes place before Dorothy and her friends have their adventure in The Wizard of Oz.  The Wicked Witch of the West is simply known as Elphaba.  She isn’t wicked at this point, just misunderstood.  She has been looked down upon and judged her entire life because of her green skin.  She goes to magic school where she becomes friends with the beautiful and popular Glinda.  As Elphaba discovers corruption is Oz, she is more ostracized even though she is the star pupil at magic school.  See why this story is so loved by getting Wicked tickets from StubHub.com.
