Annaleigh Ashford to Join Chicago Company
Annaleigh Ashford is currently in the role of the golden locked Glinda in the Broadway production of Wicked, but she will soon be making a transition to the Chicago Company. She is set to begin performances at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts’ Oriental Theatre on June 3. She joins a cast that includes such notable performers as Dee Roscioli, Barbara Robertson and Gene Weygandt. Ashford made her Broadway debut int he musical Legally Blonde and later took on the role of Glinda in Wicked.

The Return of the Witches!
The witches of the Wizard of Oz are making a return trip not to Oz but to the good state of Minnesota, where the musical “Wicked” was highly successful during its sold out two week engagement in July of 2006. London’s Wicked Gets New Cast!
There will a whole new group of performers making up the Wicked cast in London. Some of the big names that will be taking the stage in the musical about the two witches from The Wizard of Oz include: Harriet Thorpe, Alexia Khadime, Desmond Barrit and Jeremy Legat. Thorpe will fill the shoes will become the new Madame Morrible, Khadime as Elphaba, Barrit as the Wizard and Legat will take on the role of Boq. Other modifications include: ensemble member Caroline Keiff will take over the role of Nessarose and Ashleigh Gray will become the standby for the green faced Elphaba.

Wicked Heads to the City by The Bay
The Los Angeles production of Wicked is set to close the curtains come January 2009. However, all west coast Wicked fans can rest assured, the musical will relocate to San Francisco during that same month. The Orpheum Theater in San Francisco will be the home of the latest sit-down production of Wicked. In fact the popular musical got its first start in the City by the Bay at the Curran Theater before it arrived on Broadway. Shea’s Wildly Wicked Performances!
Shea’s Performing Arts Center is getting geared up for a big rush on Saturday morning. This is because general sale tickets will go on sale for the month-long run of the smash hit Broadway musical, “Wicked.” In fact the ticket sales may be the busiest in the downtown theater’s current touring Broadway season.
