Two Stars Return to Wicked!

Two shining stars from the hit Broadway musical, “Wicked” will make their way back to the stage come this spring.  Kendra Kassebaum will return to the role of Glinda the Good Witch and Jayne Houdyshell will once again return to the character of Madame Morrible.  Kassebaum has portrayed Glinda in the Broadway production and also in the national production of Wicked.  She has also appeared in the play, The Receptionist, Assassins and Rent.  Janye Houdyshell is currently starring in the Paul Rudnick comedy and she also appeared in The Receptionist alongside Kassebaum.  She has been awarded many honors over the years for her work on the stage.

According to press notes, Wicked tells the story of “long before Dorothy drops in.”  Two other girls meet int he Land of Oz.  One, born with emerald-green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood.  The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular.  Wicked tells the story of their remarkable odyssey, how these two unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch.”  It has become one of Broadway’s biggest hits and is a favorite among theater-going patrons worldwide.  Be sure to get your own pair of Wicked tickets as soon as possible!
