The Return of the Witches!

The witches of the Wizard of Oz are making a return trip not to Oz but to the good state of Minnesota, where the musical “Wicked” was highly successful during its sold out two week engagement in July of 2006.  The musical has been a huge success both nationally and internationally since it began performances in October of 2003 in New York.  It has since won three Tony Awards and most likely will be welcomed back to the twin cities after a very popular run a few summers ago.

The musical is based on Gregory Maguire’s 1995 prequel to “The Wizard of Oz.”  “Wicked” revolves around the two young women who would grow up to be the Wicked Witch of the West and the Good Witch Glinda.  Green skinned Elphaba is very smart and a little bit sassy, almost the complete opposite of the popular blonde Glinda who is her roommate.  The show is popular with all sorts of demographics and remains to be one of the most sought after musical productions of today!  Get your Wicked tickets before they all run out!
