Rosie O’Donnel gets ‘Wicked’ with Kids Night on Broadway

The queen of daytime comedy is ready to get wicked in Oz with a few cast members from the smash hit Broadway musical that has been taking audiences by storm in the big city for more than four years.

Rose O’Donnell will perform the official ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday, Feb. 5, at the Kids Night on Broadway “Fan Festival,” which allows youth to participate in the fun of live professional theater productions and join in on activities held by the cast and crew of those shows, according to an article published Monday, Feb. 4, on the official Broadway World Web site.

The event will feature songs and the cast of Broadway musicals Xanadu, Chicago, A Chorus Line, Grease, Hairspray, Legally Blond the Musical, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Mamma Mia!  Marry Poppins, Rent, The Phantom of the Opera, Monty Python’s Spamalot, Spring Awakening and the Young Frankenstein. Starting at 2:45 p.m., children and their families are invited to share in the magic at Madame Tussauds by touring through the theater and visiting several interactive booths, including theatrical makeup application and dance lessons, and even score a few Broadway stars autographs.
