“The Battery’s Down,” a new TV series which will premiere on YouTube this February and was filmed in the same fashion as “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “The Office,” guest stars an entire entourage of Broadway actors and actresses, including David Hull from the current national touring company of the smash hit musical Wicked.
Hull will be joined by famous stars Michael Arden (Bare, The Times They Are A’Changin’), Jonathan Groff (Spring Awakening), Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Seussical, …Spelling Bee) and Michael Kadin-Craig (Altar Boyz), according to an article published Thursday, Jan. 31 at the official Broadway World Web site. The official season premiere episode, titled “The Big Apple” will feature all the above listed actors and many more and the end of the episode will feature the song “This is Your Life” with music and lyrics by the show’s permanent cast members Kristen A. Guenther and Ryan Oliver Scott (Alive at Ten), according to Broadway World.
The episodes, which will chronicle the life of young actor Jake Wilson, will be broadcast on YouTube the first of every month at midnight and will each feature a new theme song performed by a myriad of Wilson’s costars and composed by a talented Broadway musical theater writing team, including David Kirschenbaum, Josh Salzman and Ryan Cunningham.
