Rising to fame in his role as Dr. Dillamond during the original Broadway run of the smash hit musical Wicked, and later moving on to portray Fiyero in the national tour, Youmans has accepted a part in the initial reading of the musical “The Gospel According to Tammy Faye” – a two-act production based on the life of the televangelist Tammy Faye Messner, according to an article published Wednesday, Dec. 5, at BroadwayWorld.com.
Youmans, also known for his other Broadway role in The Farnsworth Invention, also appeared in 2006 the Chicago production of Wicked at the Ford Center of Performing Arts’ Oriental Theatre, according to a Broadway World article.
