‘Wicked’ stars Kassebaum, Houdyshell star in Adam Bock’s ‘The Receptionist’

“‘The Receptionist,” a new Broadway musical created by actor and former “Wicked” cast member Adam Bock, opened Tuesday, Oct. 30 at Manhattan’s Theatre Club, with After Party celebrations held at the Beacon Restaurant, according to an article published Wednesday, Oct. 31 on BroadwayWorld.com.

The production, which also stars former “Wicked” cast members  Kendra Kassebaum and Jayne Houdyshell, tells the story of a typical office set in New England and a secretary (played by Houdyshell) who deals effortlessly with her job duties, as well as balancing all her coworkers dating and relationship drama. But when a handsome representative from the company’s central makes a visit, sending Houdyshell’s character completely out of her element and comfort zone.
