SIRIUS radio plays day-long ’scary tunes’ Oct. 31, features ‘Wicked’ numbers

SIRIUS Satelite Radio has announced that they will dedicate their Best of Broadway channel exclusively to “scary songs” from hit Broadway musicals such as “Wicked” all day Oct. 31, Halloween, according to an article published Tuesday, Oct. 30 at BroadwayWorld.com.

The station will play hits from “Rocky Picture Horror Show,” “Little Shop of Horrors,” “Sunset Boulevard,” “Wicked” and “Phantom of the Opera.”  The Phantom, played by Howard McGillin, will host the radio program and at 8 p.m. ET the show will feature original cast and music from the original 1986 production of the “Phantom of the Opera.” Original cast member Michael Crawford will be present and the program, officially dubbed “Halloween at the Opera,” will air commercial free, according to Broadway World.
