Lenny Wolpe Enjoying Playing The Wizard of Oz!

Lenny Wolpe has taken over the role of the Wizard, which he originated in workshops of Wicked, and he is now playing the role on Broadway. Since July 10, 2007 when he stepped back into the shoes of the character whom he workshopped so long ago, Wolpe has greatly enjoyed being back on the stage in the all-powerful role of the Wizard of Oz, which he took over from David Garrison who left the cast on July 8, 2007.

The rest of the current cast of Wicked include Julia Murney as Elphaba, Kendra Kassebaum as Glinda, Jayne Hoydyshell as Madame Morrible, Sebastian Arcelus as Fiyero, Cristy Candler as Nessarose, Logan LIpton as Boq and Steven Skybell as Dr. Dillamond, all coming togehter to create the kind of show you cannot see anywhere else and one which you could be foolish to miss out on if you have the chance to view it for yourself!

Previously Wolpe has appeared on Broadway in such hits as The Drowsy Chaperone, The Sound of Music, Cooperfield, Into The Light and Onward Victoria among many other shows, so he certainly knows what it takes to do his part to make a great show. Now that he has the strongest role in this show, after all, everyone knows who the Wizard of Oz is, you can bet he is thoroughly enjoying himself!
