Wicked Touring Casts Makes a Great Show

With the constant changes in touring productions there are often those who fret that a show is not worth seeing once an original cast has situated itself on Broadway while a new cast is assembled to take a show on the road so that all those who are not able to fly to New York may still be able to partake in the wonders of live musical theater.

However, this is quite the opposite of true – as touring cast members must be just as on their toes as those who have a “stationary” gig on Broadway. After all, a touring cast does 8 shows a week, with the stresses of being in a new city sometimes as much as once a week, and having all the strain that traveling puts on their voices and their bodies. Add to this the fact that these performers are dealing with a new stage each time they venture to a new city, and sleeping in strange places every night, and you can see just how much these actors and actresses want to be onstage doing these performances and bringing the joy of musical theater to more than just those who are able to see theater in New York.
